RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze, design, maintain and develop highly efficient processes for data extraction, translation and loading using an Oracle database, C programming and Unix technology. Work independently within the ODS team, receiving general direction with occasional work product reviews. Familiarity with one or more of the following, XML (serialization and de-serialization), Adapting ETL applications to real-time (transactional) environments through the use of queues and/or other IPC methods, Adapting, designing, and implementing applications in an SOA framework (Web Services, EJBs, .NET components, etc.)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for the job.)
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field or equivalent
* Proven strong experience of Oracle database technologies and strong understanding of SQL
* Demonstrated experience with C, C++ and Perl development languages
* Proven knowledge of the software development cycle
* Proven experience with development in a Unix environment
* Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience with the Service Oriented Architecture
* Exposure to middleware concepts, Web Services and MQSeries
* Demonstrated experience with the XML and Java
