Electrical Engineer – Orlando

This is a Technical Field Assistance role for an electrical engineer, the engineer will work under the site lead and follow the work of the customer and advise them in the best installation practices.

Responsible for providing technical field oversight of the Electrical Installation Contractor associated with the installation of the following electrical systems associated with a simple cycle or combined cycle power station:
Temporary electrical power system for the construction phase of the project.
Underground and above ground electrical conduit, cable and distribution systems
Embedded electrical conduit/cable systems within concrete foundations of power block equipment.
Setting of major electrical components such as, but not limited to, electric motors, motor control centers, plant control panels, protective relay panels, circuit breakers, HV/MV and LV transformers, disconnect switches, UPS equipment, etc.
Isophase bus duct system between generators and HV and MV transformers.
Permanent electric power to plant control rooms and all site buildings including indoor building HVAC and lighting systems.
Site out door lighting system.
Additional electrical systems as required by the specific project scope of work.
Functions as the communication liaison between the installing contractor, engineering groups, manufacturing engineering groups, the auxiliary equipment supplier engineering groups and the Architect Engineer for prompt resolution to installation, startup and initial operation issues.
Makes periodic audits of Site Electrical Erection contractors engineering documents to assure that they are working with the most current drawings and specifications

Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
