CDI Business Solutions is recruiting for our client a global provider of energy equipment and solutions. This challenging contract Engineering opportunity is located in Orlando, FL, and is scheduled for 6 months plus. The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer with two years experience in this or a related field, with an interest in thermal components in the power generation field, will have a strong aptitude in the area of thermodynamics and heat transfer.
The primary engineering-related responsibilities are development of functional equipment specifications, review of vendor technical documentation, and providing an interface between
internal and external customers and the supplier. The engineer is responsible for ensuring that project equipment and manpower costs are maintained within budget, and minimizing the occurrence and impact of non-conformance.
The successful candidate will work closely within the team of senior engineers on project implementation of major power plant thermal components. The candidate will develop knowledge of how these components are integrated within a gas turbine simple cycle plant, gas turbine combined cycle plant, or conventional steam power plant, as applicable.
Responsibilities:
Assists in routine material specification, schematic preparation and appropriate follow-up. Provides assistance in routine design,
development, testing and modifications of solutions. Provides assistance in preparing explanations and clarifies information to
enable proper interpretation and evaluation of routine specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data. Assists in
communicating routine technical and commercial issues clearly. May assist in recommending routine new designs, new processes,
or design changes to meet requirements.
Requirements
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required from an accredited school or univeristy.
Knowledge of Energy systems, and have a good understanding of heat transfer and Thermodynamics.
