CDI Business Solutions is recruiting for our client a global provider of energy equipment and solutions. This challenging contract Engineering opportunity is located in Orlando, FL, and is scheduled for 6 months plus. The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience working in the design and specification of Thermal components including HRSG, Heat Exchangers, Cooling Towers, Boilers etc.

Description:
Completes complex material specification, schematic preparation and follow-up to ensure proper and effective implementation. Performs complex design, development, testing and modifications of solutions. Performs explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of complex specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data. Performs communication of complex technical and commercial issues. Completes recommendations for complex new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements.

Required areas of experience and expertise for this position are the engineering design and functional specification of any of the following thermal components: heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), air-to-water and air-to-air heat exchangers, mechanical draft cooling towers, air-cooled condensers, fired auxiliary boilers, steam surface condensers, feed water heaters, and deaerators.

The candidate must possess knowledge of how these components are integrated within a gas turbine simple cycle plant, gas turbine combined cycle plant, or conventional steam power plant, as applicable.

Requires:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school or university, with 5 years experience working with Thermal Components related to the Energy field.
- Application of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code and relevant ASME piping codes within boiler systems
- Analysis and design of power plant system / component operation, startup, and shutdown
- Thermodynamic, mechanical, or structural design
