Facilities Maintenance Technician – Orlando

United Stationers, North America's leading wholesaler of office supply solutions, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support our new Orlando Distribution Center. This person must have a high degree of energy and enthusiasm in tackling technical and mechanical problems. The position will require the right candidate to do the following:
* Perform a wide variety of electrical, plumbing, equipment, and general building maintenance and repair
* Repair and maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems with specific focus on conveyor systems
* Support maintenance of hardware related to IT systems including local servers and printers
* Assist in safety leadership for facility including participating on safety committee, safety audits, and other projects as assigned
* Support maintenance of security for the property
* Assist in daily housekeeping tasks as well as more long term plans to maintain cleanliness of the building
* Perform related duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications for the position are as follows:
* This person MUST be willing to work multiple shifts, some which extend into the evening hours and be open to being called in to address emergency situations.
* Must have 1-3 years of experience in a maintenance role
* Experience in a warehouse environment preferred
* Knowledge of distribution/warehouse safety practices
* Must be proficient in basic computer software platforms
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to train Associates on OSHA required training
* Ability to solve technically and mechanically oriented problems

Education:
Education required for the position is high school diploma or GED. Certifications in pneumatics, Electrics, and Motor Control are highly preferred.
