Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Traveling Healthcare Receivables Project Director to join our team.
Job Summary:
The position is responsible for creating value for our clients, principally in the area of A/R reduction. Requires a thorough understanding of billing and collection techniques, as well as a working knowledge of supporting Patient Accounting functions. Focus is on cash collections and resolution of receivables, however, collaboration with other Revenue Cycle departments is necessary. The client is generally the BOD and CFO. The Director leads a team of Traveling Hospital Insurance Collections Specialists at a Client hospital facility in accomplishing the revenue reimbursement goals set out in the contract. Manages a staff of approximately10-20, on engagements that typically run 6-12 months.
The Traveling Healthcare Receivables Project Director temporarily relocates to one of our client hospitals throughout the USA as per our contract. Perot Systems will provide a corporate apartment, and provide transportation twice a month to the Traveling Healthcare Receivables Project Director’s home base. Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and be able to use your own vehicle when traveling to client sites. The position offers a competitive salary and benefit package, along with a generous quarterly incentive plan.
Job Responsibilities:
- Successfully executes scope of the assigned project by controlling, monitoring and resolving the initial inventory and additional placements
- Acts as an on-site liaison and resource to client
- All cash is accurately accounted for with supportive documentation and corporate reporting is accurately completed and forwarded to Perot Systems within the mandated timeframe
- Produces a high percentage of cash revenue in the shortest period of time, while resolving at least 95% of the assigned accounts receivable
- Identifies and resolves problems, and suggests improvements that will benefit the client, as well as Perot Systems and employs multiple approaches to solve the problems
- Attends client meetings and conducts presentations to management and client concerning issues, programs or projects
- Monitors staff performance, supports appropriate staffing levels, evaluates strengths and deficiencies, and provides necessary staff development in third-party collection procedures
- Promotes a motivated team approach, with open lines of communication which succeeds in the accomplishment of individual, client and company goals
- Monitors and grooms associates to assume new roles and responsibilities
- Arranges Perot Systems housing needs, approves expense reports and travel-related expenses
Required Skills: - 5+ years of hands-on experience directing an A/R operation in hospitals, including extensive knowledge of third-party billing, industry-specific forms, coding methodologies, general medical terminology and industry specific reimbursement and follow-up techniques
- Extensive use of various Patient Accounting/Billing and ancillary support systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and working knowledge of Access and PowerPoint
- Recognizes and anticipates potential financial liability; presenting solutions and preventing any financial liability to the client and Perot Systems
- Stays informed of healthcare billing and collection guidelines and HIPAA compliance guidelines
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Exhibits a high level of professionalism and ethical behavior
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to use your own vehicle when traveling to client sites
- Must have auto insurance for self
Minimum Educational Requirements: - High school graduate or equivalent
- College degree and/or certification are desirable
